I knew it was going to be a cold one. But I’ve been cooped up way too long. Lots of issues with my back lately, but as we all know, a little fresh air tends to make everything better.
I didn’t really intend to, but I wound up visiting a few local dams along the grand river. I snapped a few pics along the way to share!
I started out with my dog, but I didn’t think it was going to be this cold, so he only joined me briefly before I dropped him off back home.
He’s not a fan of the white stuff!
After dropping him off, I headed out to Paris. This town is known for being the prettiest little town in Ontario!
It’s a popular little spot for people canoeing down the Grand River. This has to be the biggest portage sign I’ve ever seen! No way you can miss this one!
On my way home I stopped by the famous Paris shoe tree. I’ve seen it a million times but thought that I would stop for a picture to share with the rest of you. (There’s a geocache in there!)
Apparently it’s good luck to hang your old shoes on a shoe tree. Who knew?
Shoes aren’t always nailed to the tree anymore… Just left on the ground.
Or in the air!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
